Creationism News Round Up UK

Let's catch up on some of the recent events in the fight to protect good quality education from Creationist fundamentalist attack.

Here are some of the stories about the Al-Madinah Muslim Free school.  Most of them refer to the general failure of the school in terms of education and ethical treatment of women and girls.  But did you know they were Creationists as well?

Well their original prospectus said this;

"In each and every department, all efforts will be geared towards ensuring the books and resources conform to the teachings of Islam. Sensitive, inaccurate and potentially blasphemous material will be censored or removed completely. If and when teachers are required by the curriculum to convey teachings that are totally against Islam (such as Darwinism), the Director of Islamic Studies will brief the relevant teachers and advise accordingly."

  1. Al-Madinah just culled the words "(such as Darwinism)", and stull has the statement of intention to censor wha tit considers against Islam. The next paragraph said, and says, that music is to be purely for education and not for (heaven forbid) amusement or entertainment.
